We had such a lovely Easter weekend. My parents, sister and her boyfriend stayed with us for a couple of days which gave us so much valuable family time. On Good Friday, we tried to make the most of the beautiful weather. After braving the shops in the morning (yes, I am one of those people who left the Easter grocery shop until pretty much last minute) we decided to go for a walk at Beachy Head. We were blessed with blue skies, bright sunshine, but thanks to Storm Katie there was also a steady, crisp breeze.
Our little one was obsessed by her shadow and starting chasing after it (no wonder she literally fell into bed in the evening).
On Saturday we went to a local farm for an Easter Egg Hunt. The children were each given a basket and were let loose in a barn full of plastic Easter eggs. These eggs were then exchanged for chocolate on the way out. There was also a golden egg to be found, but it was hidden extremely well and none of the children were able to find it (not for lack of trying from the daddies though – I don’t know who took it more seriously – the grown-ups or the children…).
On Easter Sunday and Monday we mostly stayed at home and simply enjoyed being together (and yes, probably ate one or two too many chocolate eggs).
I hope you all had a lovely Easter too!
