A few days ago, my daughter’s primary school (I am still getting used to writing this – how can my little girl already be in primary school??) put on a huge fireworks evening with several stalls and rides. Our little girl was super excited to go (I wasn’t too sure, as she is not great with fireworks) and we ended up having a fantastic time.
It was actually the first time she tried candy floss. I was secretly speculating on being able to eat at least half of it, but she devoured the whole thing within minutes (yes, this much sugar before bedtime – fun!!). We then went on to explore a few of the other stalls and made our way to the football field to watch the fireworks. The display was fantastic and she watched on in awe. My husband bought her some pink (it had to be pink – she is such a girlie girl) earmuffs, which I think really helped with the noise. We ended up having such a lovely evening. It is these, quite ordinary moments, that I love and appreciate the most!
These pictures are a little grainy – it was super dark and I only had my iPhone on me, but they still mean an awful lot to me.
