My Captured Moment #38 – I love these two!

This picture might not look like a lot, but it means so much to me. I love the relationship between our little girl and her daddy. They really do have a special bond. She is always super excited when he comes home from work so that she can tell him all about the little adventures we have been up to throughout the day. My husband used to work a lot at weekends a lot, but circumstances have thankfully changed. That we now get to spend all weekends together is something I am so incredibly grateful for.

My Captured Moment #37 – Disneyland Paris

This week’s My Captured Moment is one of the first shots we took at Disneyland Paris last week. We had the most amazing time!! Our little girl loved meeting and cuddling all the Disney characters and we must have at least taken about 1000 pictures.  I will write up a (little) holiday report at the weekend.

My Captured Moment #36 – Little Explorer

For this week’s My Captured Moment I choose a picture of our little girl we took a few weeks ago at Scotney Castle. This National Trust property is definitely one of my most favourite and we go there several times a year. I love the old castle, the stunning garden and estate and that there is so much exploring for little ones to do. We came across this lovely activity centre (no idea how we have missed this on our previous visits). Next to a table full of colouring pens and sheets there was also this exciting bird watching spot. Our little explorer was completely fascinated and spent literally hours observing birds, crawly creatures and anything else she could find.

My Captured Moment #35 – Sewing

When our daughter celebrated her 4th birthday a few weeks ago, she received some lovely gifts from her friends. One of the presents was a little sewing kit to make your own rag doll. When I first saw the package, alarm bells started to ring. I thought she was way too young for such an activity. Needles, scissors and tiny parts… However, on closer inspection I saw that the needle was quite big and made out of plastic, the wool was already cut, there were guided sewing holes and the tiny parts were stickers used as decoration for the doll’s dress.

Our little girl was adamant that she wanted to start the dolly straight away so I gave in and we sat down to work on the doll. I was convinced she would loose interest pretty quickly, but no! After I showed her what to do, she worked it out pretty quickly and happily started to sew her own little rag doll. There were also a few tricky parts that I finished off for her, but I am still amazed by her handiwork.

My Captured Moment #34 – Three Generations

DSCF8685

I love this picture of my mum, our little girl and I. We took it when we visited my parents over the Christmas period. Family means so very much to me and I am incredibly grateful for having such a strong bond with my mother. Although, due to living in different countries, we don’t get to see each other too often, we regularly speak on the phone or skype and visit whenever possible.

Each year, we plan a family holiday (my husband, our little girl, my parents, my sister, her boyfriend and I). For this year’s holiday we are off to Disneyland Paris – we cannot wait!
